Big news on Twitter

The recent news of Osama Bin Laden's death has caused a lot of activity on Twitter. The news was actually broken on Twitter before President Obama adressed the nation on TV. Once the address did begin, Twitter was operating at 4,000 tweets per second.

Here's the article showing some of the Twitter posts

  1. That's why media such as twitter is a good way to receive news. When I am not near a computer or a TV, twitter is the best way to retrieve information as soon as it happens.

  4. Yea i don't have or use twitter, but facebook also blew up this news. Its interesting how we really dont need the news to give us news anymore.

  5. I first heard the news through Facebook. Then I checked my twitter. I couldn't believe it the #Osama had hundreds of posts within minutes. I followed the news through CNN's twitter and individual's posts as well. It was unbelievable to watch the news spread so quickly.

I then watched the real CNN broadcast on tv while I was monitoring the tweets online. Twitter really has changed the way we receive our news.
